This unique 1:12 dollhouse miniature patchwork quilt and matching pillows is based on a Victorian crazy quilt design. This would look perfect in a historic dollhouse - maybe in the scullery maid's room - or in a cosy country cottage of any era.
This is the first one I have made - and as such is not quite as square and flat as I would like - which is reflected in the special price.
The miniature quilt measures 5.5" by 5.5" (14 x 14cm) and fits a 12th scale single bed. The last photo shows this dollhouse quilt on a double bed, where it works well as a topper. Each little square patch measures 1/2".
Inside the quilt there is a foldable insert so you can drape the miniature quilt to better fit your dollhouse bed, as miniature patchwork is quite rigid otherwise. Two matching pillows are included, filled with glass micro-beads to give them a realistic, weighty look.
I machine sewed each tiny piece then hand-stitched all the burgundy top quilting. This 1:12 dollhouse quilt is backed with patterned fabric. It was made exactly as I would make a real-sized quilt, except on a much smaller scale. Many hours went into making it.
